The Gold Rush and Its Impact on First Nations

Students will analyze and interpret first- and second-hand accounts from Indigenous peoples. They will draw evidence from oral histories and learn about the people who lived in the Yukon for thousands of years before the Gold Rush. Students will also examine the impact of the Gold Rush on Yukon First Nations and support a position using relevant evidence. Recommended for High School.
