This special issue commemorates 100 years since the Williams Treaties were signed in 1923. Here we explore the events that led up to the treaties, as well as their lasting consequences. Educators share their advice for teaching treaty education and offer a wide variety of resources, along with a lesson plan for Grades 1–8 that helps students learn what it means to be a treaty person. Plus, an infographic provides an overview of treaty history in Canada.
