29 Pieces, a Dallas-based non-profit arts organization, is proud to announce the worldwide launch of the Planet Earth LOVE Project. Launching August 2026 and going through April 2027, this international art competition and exhibition is designed to explore one powerful question: How can art inspire love, healing, unity, and care for our planet and one another?

Conceived in response to the profound needs of students and educators alike, the Planet Earth LOVE Project addresses the modern longing for light, hope, and connection. The global arts initiative aims to engage 4,000 people on seven continents and exhibit more than 2,500 love art messages inspiring compassion and environmental stewardship around the world.

“Participating in this global movement allows individuals to connect with an international creative community, amplify diverse cultural perspectives, spark youth leadership, and drive vital conversations about social and environmental duty. We invite participants to turn to the natural world for self-reflection, unlocking the creative human spirit to foster deep, meaningful social change,” said Karen Blessen, 29 Pieces Founder and Executive Artistic Director.

Who Can Participate

The Planet Earth LOVE Project warmly invites global participation across generations and borders. Submissions are open to:

  • K–12 schools and student artists
  • Universities and colleges
  • Individual artists of all backgrounds
  • Arts organizations and community art programs
By Azra P. from Grand Prairie, TX

How to Participate

To participate, artists and educators can visit the 29 Pieces website to download the project lessons and multi-language resource packets, which feature an extensive list of historic quotes regarding nature and agape love.

  1. Create Art: Craft an original piece of artwork formatted in a square layout using your choice of mediums (traditional or digital). The piece should incorporate a meaningful quote or personal message of love for the earth.
  2. Post to Instagram: Share a photo of the completed artwork on Instagram. Submissions must tag @29Pieces and use the hashtag #PlanetEarthLoveProject to be entered into the competition.
  3. Include Details: Provide each artist’s name, the title of the art, the artist’s location, and a brief artist’s statement to join the online global gallery.
  4. Exhibit Locally: Schools and community spaces are highly encouraged to host local exhibitions of the artwork, sharing photos of their setups on Instagram using the same tags.
