Part of the Great Canadian Books series | This lesson plan explores the movement of people in search of a better life, using picture books to help students understand the push and pull factors of migration. Through these stories, students will develop empathy and gain insight into the emotions and experiences of those who must move. To deepen their learning, students will journal and create a piece of work to reflect on their understanding. Recommended for middle school.
