The landscape art of the Group of Seven played a key role in unifying Canada and promoting national sovereignty. Students will explore how the Group became linked to Canadian nationalism and identity. They will also learn about personal and Canadian identity, painting a place of personal significance using colour theory and basic acrylic techniques. Recommended for high school.
