There are indications that student math scores are slipping. But there is much that can be done in the classroom to elevate students’ overall understanding of mathematical concepts.
Stress can be useful: it fires up our brains and bodies. But sometimes we are so overrun by physiological and emotional symptoms that we can’t focus on the problem.
If students are misbehaving in class, there's usually a reason behind that behaviour. It’s an educator’s job to figure out what's going on and find a solution with the student.
